Bobcats in Action

Ok so I will reiterate that I am not a sport anything, so if I offend anyone I apologize.

So what is with volleyball? It is by far one of the most confusing sports I have ever encountered in all my days (and this includes reading about Cheese rolling!) So I attended a volleyball game, without anyone who can explain to me what is going on, and watch. The point system is something that I don’t understand. If the ball hits the floor it’s a point. From what I saw is that the ball hit the floor many times and then somehow I thought at the end the goal should be like, 3000 to 2999, but no. The point can be summed down to winning of the periods (as I now know are called sets).

So where was I? Oh yeah, then there was something I noticed that was vastly different between this game and basketball: the crowd. More people had shown up to the Bobcat Volleyball game than to the opening basketball games. With the increase of people I had taken to notice that the crowd was also doing something different. They were cheering. Now I’m not saying that there are no cheering going on in the basketball games, but only a second or two of cheering after a point- and done. Are we really doing justice to a team who has followers tuning into the games via the World Wide Web from as far as Calgary? Ok well I can’t guarantee Calgary, as I don’t even know if my brother actually watched the games. Oh well, I guess this shall call short to this issues clueless Sports Editors musings.
