Sex Ed in the City

I have been having a major problem with my sex drive lately. I am always dry, never really turned on or horny at all. I am a twenty something female and am pretty concerned about this. What’s the problem?

There are a few things that come to mind that could be making it hard for you to get in the mood!

Are you on any medications? Did you start to feel this way around the time you started the meds? (This includes birth control pills.) Some medication can lower libido. If you think this might be the problem, talk to your doctor. There may be a better alternative.

Tired? One of the most common causes for lack of sex drive is being tired and fatigued. What’s going on in your life? Is your schedule out of hand? Get it under control and get some more sleep! Also, excersize and eat well.

Depressed? Suffering from anxiety? This can hugely affect peoples libido. Especially if left undiagnosed and untreated. Take care of yourself and if you need to talk to a professional to seek help, do it!

What’s going on in your relationship? If there is problems in a relationship that can cause friction with a partner and can easily make people lose interest in sex.

Many people go through times where they are just not feelin’ it! How long has this been going on for? Is it just some down time or a real problem?

If none of these reasons sound like they could be the case for you, schedule an appointment with your doctor to check into why your libido is suffering! Best of luck!
