I think I am in love. How do I know when it is cool to say I love you?

Good question; one that if you ask around, you will get many different answers for. We are all different, so it is pretty hard to give a generic answer. Only the 2 of you know the connection you have. Try looking at the situation from a few angles.

Angle 1) You love your partner…. They love you…. Both of you are scared to say it first but when you do, it is a magical moment and they say I love you back.

Angle 2) You know you’re in love, but your partner isn’t quite there yet. You decide you’re ready to say it, and there is a pretty awkward few moments when they don’t say it back. They tell you they really care but just can’t say those words just yet.

Angle 3) You both know you are in love, but neither of you say anything because you are too scared.

Angle 4) You say it, and creep them out immensely. Maybe they are just getting used to the idea of being in a relationship, so you dropping “L” bombs makes them squirmy!

So which one do you think applies to your life? Only you can decide when you think it’s the right time, and only you can take the leap and just say it! Here is a few things to think about if you decide it’s time!

Make sure you say it at a time where there can be a conversation or talk after. This would mean a bad time might be just before hanging up the phone, in the middle of the Sunday football game, or in the middle of sexy time. Choose a time where you are comfortable and where you and your partner are focused only on each other. Whenever you decide to take the plunge, I wish you luck.
