The Brandon Bobcats hosted two curling teams this year at the Western Canadian University Curling Championships. Both men and women had the opportunity to play and proudly represented Brandon. Although neither team walked away with the championship position the teams did face some tough opponents. The tournament took place between March 3rd to the 5th in Edmonton, Alberta.

The women played a total of six games against the University of Regina Cougars, the University of Alberta Panda’s, and the University of Lethbridge Horns. The Bobcats won two of their matches, both victories against the University of Lethbridge, winning 10-7 and 7-6. The other matches that the women played resulted in losses, their worst loss being by 7 points to the Pandas. Out of the whole tournament the women placed 3rd.

The men played a total of 7 games against the University of Regina Cougars, the University of Alberta Golden Bears, and the University of Lethbridge Horns. The Bobcats won three of their matches, dominating the University of Lethbridge Horns in two matches, and even winning their first game against the University of Regina.
