PSA: Operation Red Nose

The holiday season has begun and so have the holiday parties. Operation Red Nose is a national volunteer run service that works over the holidays to get you home safely after a night out. Whether you’ve been drinking or are just too tired to get behind the wheel, a call to Operation Red Nose will dispatch a 3-person team; to take you home, to take your passengers home, and to retrieve your vehicle – all free of charge. Founded in Quebec in 1984, Operation Red Nose is a judgement-free response to combat impaired driving, with any funds raised by the organization being redistributed to non-profit youth organizations across Canada.

Services began Friday November 24 and will continue through to New Year’s Eve, from 9pm to 2am every Friday and Saturday. To access rides or volunteer, call 204-728-6673.
