If you are looking for an adventure this summer, consider traveling to Mexico to learn Spanish. Monterrey Tech, Campus Leon offers a Spanish as a Second Language Course. This program is offered as a summer time intensive course lasting 4 weeks, or as a full semester course lasting 16 weeks.

This course allows students to immerse themselves within Mexican culture as well as the Spanish language. If you have ever studied an additional language, then you know that immersion within the culture and hearing the language everyday makes all the difference.

Monterrey Tech, Campus Leon offers 6 levels of Spanish: Basic I and II, Intermediate I and II, and Advanced I and II. Over the course of the 4-week intensive summer program it is possible to achieve one level of Spanish. While the 16-week semester allows you the opportunity to achieve two levels of Spanish.

In addition to studying Spanish, students are taken out on cultural excursions. These include visits to the 200-year-old ex-hacienda Sepulcveda, the Pyramids of Teotihuacan, 500-year-old Colonial Guanjuato or San Miguel Allende, as well as a tequila factory.

For more information on their Spanish as a Second Language program you can contact their International Programs Coordinator Lic. Cecilia Valdés González at cecilia.valdes@itesm.mx.
