ACC Alumni Raise Money for Scholarships

Assiniboine Community College (ACC) alumni raised $31,082 for their $30K in 30 Days campaign intended to provide funds for student scholarships, awards, and bursaries. ACC’s Alumni Association’s giving campaign ended on November 15, National Philanthropy Day, with a thank you event that put them over their $30K target. Robert Eslinger (Business Administration, class of 1985), Co-Chair of the campaign and member of the Alumni Association board of directors highlights the importance of such fundraising, “Having been a past recipient of an Assiniboine award, I know very well how much impact these funds have on a student’s success”. Caelie Walker (Office Administration, class of 2009), campaign Co-Chair says, “we’ve had over 80 individual alumni donate amounts anywhere from $20 to $200 or more, and it’s all made a difference”. Both Co-Chairs thanked alumni, their employers, friends, family, students and volunteers that participated and donated. In the 2016-17 school year, ACC was able to disperse a total of $342,000 through scholarships, awards, and bursaries to more than 300 students. For more information, visit assiniboine.net/30in30.
