Student Services is being proactive with their approach to student wellbeing this semester. They are encouraging students to take care of both their studies and their personal wellbeing. To encourage students to start studying early they are putting on an event very reminiscent of Long Night Against Procrastination where students can buckle down and get stuff done for a few hours.

Former Health Studies Profs Set Up Scholarship

Last week, the Faculty of Health Studies saw two professors, Dr. Kathryn Hyndman and Dr. Fran Racher, retire. Both Hyndman and Racher were members of the Brandon General Hospital School of Nursing graduating class of 1972, and when the Faculty of Health Studies began the Bachelor of Nursing Program in 2004, Hyndman came back to teach.

Graduate students of Brandon University rejoice! A number of opportunities for scholarships and internships have arisen within the past week. On Monday, December 12th, 2016, your Friendly Neighbourhood BUSU Council had their final meeting for the Fall term. In attendance were President Nick Brown, Vice-President Internal Jill Creasor, Science Director Trevor Poole, International Director Lisa Mizan, Health Studies Director Meagan Stade, Education Director Elizabeth Davidson, Grad Studies Director Mark Klapheke, Office Manager Corey Norton, and General Manager Nataly Ore, with Residence Director Kristin Smart joining via call-in until her arrival shortly after the meeting began.

School of Business Plans Forge Onward

A partnership between Brandon University and Assiniboine Community College to explore the creation of a hybrid business program and a joint school of business, stemming back to 2015, will continue, as consultations with the community are set to happen on January 12th and 13th.
