Bobcats Sports

In the world of sports the Bobcats have been busy on all fronts this past weekend. The Bobcats teams of the volleyball, basketball and soccer each had their own battles across western Canada. The men’s volleyball team was the only team with no game this past weekend but they will be back on the court in the coming week.

Starting out in Regina with the results of the women’s volleyball games, the outcomes were not good for the Bobcats. The women lost both games against the Cougar’s, taking two losses, L 0-3 and L 1-3. Both Friday and Saturday were tough games for the Bobcats. The worst game they lost was 25-15 and their victory was 22-25.

In futsal both men and women were able to walk away with at least one win. The women’s team was able to beat Red River 5-1 and lost to CMU in a close game 2-3. The men’s team won both their games 10-6 against Red River and 7-5 against CMU.

In basketball both the men and women went out to BC to play games against the UBC Thunderbirds. Sadly each game was lost by the Bobcats as they could not keep up with the T-birds. The women lost their matches 50-77 and 56-85. The men lost their matches 81-98 and 74-94.

Next week the sports teams will have games throughout the weekend. The futsal and volleyball teams will have games here and in Winnipeg and the basketball teams will be out in Edmonton. Best of luck in your next games Bobcats!
