Forbidden Flavours will soon be filling the shoes of the Students’ Union Drinking Spot. The cafe’s on-campus location will soon be moving into the former bar’s location, pending renovations.

Forbidden Flavours owner Ryan Jacobson, in an interview, mentioned the benefits to the new on-campus location for the cafe, including additional space in the kitchen and for storage, allowing for an expanded menu with new items such as flatbread pizzas, salads, a wider selection of wraps, and daily specials. A line cook with experience at Echo Restaurant and Wine Bar, as well as Brown's Socialhouse, has also been hired, on which Jacobson commented, "I'm sure she will have
lots of ideas."

Jacobson also described the new location as "much more inviting and bright for studying," with opening hours planned to run from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Monday through Wednesday. On Thursdays and Fridays, the cafe will remain open until midnight or later, though Jacobson did
say that "night hours will depend on traffic as we are not sure what to expect." Forbidden Flavours will also be hosting jazz nights on Thursdays, in place of the former SUDS.

Without any other establishments on campus to serve liquor, Forbidden Flavours has been approved for a liquor license, and will initially be offering beer and wine to patrons.

However, Forbidden Flavours, as of writing, has no set opening date. With construction behind schedule, Jacobson claimed the new location “might be ready for the first week of school, but we are not sure yet."
